Ö3 TRAFFIC OBSERVATION PLANE

Ö3 TRAFFIC OBSERVATION PLANE

Florian Rudig takes off in the Ö3 traffic observation plane and reports live from the air. Especially in Tyrol. To have the best overview of kilometer-long traffic jams and the alternative routes, hitradio Ö3 regularly sends its traffic reporter into the air. Host in the cockpit is Florian Rudig: without a pilot’s license but with a radio case and professionally trained pilot. Again and again the neuralgic points of congestion are flown over and encircled: Zillertal, Inntal triangle, Brenner. Every half hour hitradio Ö3 switches to the plane from which the longtime ORF reporter knows to report: “The art is not to put the traffic situation into words, but rather to maintain the radio link with Vienna in the midst of all the mountains.”
