RED BULL AIR RACE

RED BULL AIR RACE

The fastest motor-sports series are holding their finals in Spielberg. On board the event cockpit: ROODIXX. All-round goose bumps on the Red Bull Ring – Hannes Arch rolls onto the runway, tens of thousands of people write his name onto the bleachers in red and white letters, and the tension rises to its peak. The ROODIXX brothers Flo and Tobi Rudig cheer on, comment, present, and musically set the event, aided by Eurofighter Roli Miedler as co-commentator and Ö3 presenter Tom Walek as fan reporter. Even though local hero Hannes Arch is unable to catch up the few seconds in the critical final round and does not win the title of World Champion, he is wholly impressed by the atmosphere: “This is crazy. The scene, the inspirational fans – they were so loud it was like being at a giant rock concert. Powerful and beautiful!”

The WC final 2014 in Spielberg is the return of a highlight visited by millions: The Red Bull Air Race is the royal league of air racing – just 15 meters above ground, with up to 400 km/h and 10G load factor. So far, season events have been held in Abu Dhabi, Poland, Great Britain, or Las Vegas. Ultimately, the British racer Nigel Lamb celebrates his victory as new Air Race World Champion, passing Hannes Arch and Paul Bonhomme. The fans, press, pilots, and race management all agreed: The Red Bull Airrace will return to Spielberg in 2015!
